Start by soaking the raw cashews in boiling water for about 20 minutes or until soft.
Once soft, add the cashews, basil, nutritional yeast, garlic and olive oil into a small food processor. Process until smooth or desired consistency. I like mine a little chunky sometimes :)
Taste the pesto and if you want to add in some salt and pepper go ahead.
* I usually add some salt since it takes place of the saltiness you would get from the cheese.
