It’s taken me a while to write this post but life has been moving pretty crazy in the past few months! Let me take you back to what’s been going on.

Back at the end of June 2019, my husband and I went on our first cruise! We took European Cruise to Italy, Croatia and Greece. It was the experience of a lifetime. We ported from Venice Italy and went to Split Croatia, then to Santorini Greece, Dubrovnik Croatia, Ancona Italy and back to Venice. Along the way we drank lots of delicious wine (Vapolicea is now our favorite) and ate many cheeses that I will never forget. We also made a baby! We have been planning to start a family soon and even though it may have happened a little sooner than expected, we are totally thrilled and couldn’t wait to share the news with our families.

We enjoyed the rest of the summer sharing the news, and starting to read and learn all about the upcoming addition to our family. So much information is out there and it can be super overwhelming but also exciting to learn about what is going to be happening in our lives. I then went back to work in August starting my 6th year of teaching.

Since finding out the news of having a baby, we were on the hunt for a house. We had been looking for months and finally found a house we fell in love with and closed on it in October. We’ve been there for a little over a month now and couldn’t be happier! It’s rewarding to be a homeowner now and there is still lots to do, but we can’t wait to start putting the baby nursey together and adding touches across the house.

In October we also found out that we are having a baby girl! I was shocked! I totally thought it was going to be a boy and my husband was set on a girl. So he was right! It was very exciting and now we can really start planning for baby girl Crowe to come and pick a name for her.

So my pregnancy so far has been pretty good! I have to say I am feeling pretty lucky compared to some stories I’ve heard of friends that have been pregnant. In the first trimester pretty easy. I only had a little nausea a few times and it would go away quickly if I ate a cracker or something. I only got sick once which was great!

The second trimester has been good so far! At about 22 weeks, I started some early lactation which I was shocked by. I didn’t think that could happen so early, but I’m hoping that means I will have a good milk supply and be able to breastfeed. At about 24 weeks, I have started to develop some bad pain while I sleep. I believe it is sciatica, but I have my next doctors appointment in a few days and will be talking to my doctor about it. It’s been so bad that we went out and bought a recliner chair on black Friday because laying back in a chair is the most comfortable way for me to sleep right now. Other than that, I can’t complain! I have officially popped and starting to look lot bigger, but it is so exciting to be able to feel her grow and move in there.

That’s all for now! Lots has been happening with the Crowe family and we can’t wait for our baby girl to be here in March! I’ll share another life update soon to update on the pregnancy and how it will continue to go for me. Have a happy holiday season and look forward to some new recipes coming soon!
