Happy New Year everyone!!

Usually at the beginning of each year, many people are focused on one thing- WEIGHT LOSS! I hear ya, I’m in the same boat. I added quite a few extra pounds over the month of December and am ready to get them off and feel slimmer.

I’ve put together 3 of my favorite soups for weight loss. Two of them are potato based because ya’ll know I love potatoes and truly believe they are one of the best whole foods for weight loss. The other is a really great detox soup. If you need to shed some massive pounds, this soup is for you. It has turmeric in it which has anti-inflammatory properties and can also prevent fat accumulation in the body. Great right!

Let’s dive in! Here are my top 3 favorite soups for weight loss. All of them are vegan, oil free, gluten free and amazing!

1. Creamy Potato Soup

This creamy potato soup actually has no cream in it! The potatoes make it super creamy and thick. I guarantee you will love this soup. It is super simple, tastes amazing and will last in the fridge for a few days. I love to make a big batch of this and bring it with me in my soup container to take to work throughout the week. This soup will fill you up, but won’t make you feel weighed down. Give it a try!

2. Slimming Potato Soup

Now if you prefer your soups chunky instead of pureed, this weight loss potato soup is for you! This soup is packed with veggies that will fill you up and leave you satisfied. It is made with potatoes, carrots, and lots of green cabbage. My Irish husband says it’s a winner! Again, super simple and easy. I made it in less than 30 minutes and had it all week long. 3. Turmeric Detox Soup

We talked earlier about the benefits of turmeric. If you’ve never tried it, I highly suggest you do. It is a taste that not all people like, but it has so many benefits, I promise the taste grows on you. I love this soup. It is bright from the lemon and peppery from the turmeric.
